Blood pressure measurement is an important method for monitoring cardiovascular health. We are happy to perform this for you at our pharmacy.

Proper blood pressure measurement:

• Sit on a chair with a backrest and relax for a few minutes.
• Both feet should be flat on the floor, as crossing legs can increase blood pressure due to muscle tension.
• Rest your forearm on a table.
• Place the blood pressure cuff around the upper arm at heart level, with the lower edge about 2 fingers’ width from the elbow.
• The cuff should fit snugly: You should be able to slide about one finger between the cuff and your upper arm.
• Ensure that the closure of the cuff faces outward.
• Stay calm and still during the measurement, but continue to breathe naturally—do not hold your breath.
